Frequently Asked Questions
What receiver do I need for the Babyhawk 87mm?
It is PNP, so you add your own SBUS, PPM or DSM2 receiver — the bind-ready wiring is already in place. A BNF version with a fixed receiver is linked from the product page if you prefer not to bind your own.
What battery does it use?
A 2S LiPo around 300 mAh is the matched size; with props and guards fitted the AUW is about 86 g on a 2S 300 mAh pack.
Is the Babyhawk good for beginners?
It suits pilots moving up from indoor whoops to outdoor micro racing. It is faster and less forgiving than a ducted whoop, so some whoop experience helps.
Can I swap the props?
Yes. It ships with 2.3-inch propellers and the 1104 5250 KV motor is tuned for that size; stay near 2.3-inch to keep the 2S power system happy.
What is the difference from a Tinyhawk?
The Babyhawk uses open 2.3-inch props and a brushless 1104 motor for outdoor speed, while Tinyhawk whoops use ducted props for safe indoor flight — different tools for indoor versus backyard racing.
